This is a popular headphone and microphone combination (headset) by Sony. It is designed for use with an iPod or iPhone. In the case of the iPhone, you can make calls  in between listening to music. The DR-BT22IK/B Sony Wireless Headphones comes with a bluetooth transmitter. This slots into your iPod or iPhone to deliver bluetooth communication with the headphones. The connection is reported to be very reliable and it rarely drops out. The headphones work up to a maximum range of 30 ft. from the device. The slash B in the model number denotes that the headphones come with the bluetooth transmitter. You can buy them without but then you will need some form of transmitter to communicate with them. So it’s best to get the combination package and it is reasonably priced for this type of gadget anyhow.

The headphones themselves are an over the head style design. The ear pieces fit on top of the ear and are made of a soft fabric/foam padding for comfort. Wearing them for extended periods of time does not seem to be a problem. They are fully adjustable and can be folded in half for easy carrying.

There is a volume control and other controls on the right earcup. However when an incoming call is received, anything that you might be listening to fades and the call comes through. This is a great feature of the product.
