The RS 160 uses RF in the 2.4GHZ range so it is truly digital. This ensures superb sound reproduction with no interference. The technology used in the headphones is KLEER which uses a loseless data compression algorithmn. As the name suggests no data is lost in sending from transmitter to the headphones themselves. Hence perfect stereo sound reproduction.

The headphones themselves look stylish and have a closed circumaural type ear cup. This ensures that the ears are completely enclosed by the ear cups which will reduce any outside noise interference. Again, this ensures that the sound you will hear is excellent.

The edges of the ear cups are finished with a soft foam so that it is always comfortable wearing them. This allows you to use the RS 160 cans for extended periods without feeling fatigue or soreness around the ears. The headband can also be fully adjusted to meet your requirements and provide the most comfortable fit.

There is a certain degree of volume control functionality on the ear cups. You can, in fact, adjust volume and press a mute button if you need to speak to someone, the phone rings or such like. These buttons are located on the right ear cup.

The transmitter is small and unobtrusive by the standards of other wireless headphone transmitters. It can be placed on the device you are listening to and blend in.

Both the transmitter and the headphones require AAA batteries. These come with the purchase but the batteries in the transmitter will be used up pretty quickly. It is advisable to get rechargeable batteries  as this should save you money in the long run.

The Sennheiser RS 160 digital wireless headphones can be used for listening to music, watching TV or PC use. They are especially useful if you want to listen to music loud and don’t want to annoy the neighbors (if you live in an apartment block). They can also be used for late night TV listening/watching in bed when you don’t want to wake up your partner.
